...The grand reason why the miraculous gifts were so soon withdrawn was not only that faith and holiness were well nigh lost; but that dry, formal, orthodox men began even then to ridicule whatever gifts they had not themselves, and to decry them all as either madness or imposture |

Do you have SatNav? You can download a .csv file of UK Methodist churches (439k) suitable for Garmin and some other units, or go to http://www.tomtomfree.com/singlePOIfile.htm where you can download a TomTom version . |

Do you use Google Earth? You can download a .kml file of UK Methodist churches (980k) suitable for Google Earth. Put the .kml file in your Google Earth folder (probably \Program Files\Google\Google Earth), and then, from inside Google Earth, click on File - Open and locate the file MethodistChurches.kml . Then Fly to your town to get an overview of your Circuit. You may wish to use the 980k file to create a small .kml file for your own Circuit; see, for example, the .kml file for the churches of the Hull West Circuit (4k). For those who don't have Google Earth, the .kml file for the Hull West Circuit looks like this . If you don't know how to create your Circuit's .kml file, I could be persuaded to do it for you in exchange for a suitable donation to our Anlaby Park Ignition building project (target: £1.5m). Many thanks for John D. Hays of Edmonds, Washington, for his help generating the .kml file. |
This page is occasionally maintained by Revd. Christopher Mabb, a Minister in the Hull West Circuit: christopher@methodist.org. Unfortunately the demands of Circuit ministry do not allow for a personal response to all requests - please see the official UK Methodist Church website www.methodist.org.uk for information about our structure and our doctrinal emphases, or contact the Methodist Church in your own country.
